Remember the speed bumps you removed from your facility and stored once the snow plows started making their rounds last year? With Spring right around the corner, it’s time to enhance your facility again with the safety measures you may have put away for the winter – including speed bumps.
To help re-install your speed bumps, once snow plows are finished for the season, we have put together some Instructions for Speed Bump Installation.
Here’s a brief breakdown:
- Before getting started, make sure your surface is clean from debris.
- Place the speed bump where you would like to install it and use the pre-drilled holes as a template to mark your lag or spike location.
- Be sure not to over tighten the lags or drive the spike beyond snug, as doing so may damage the speed bump. Reminder: Lag Bolts can be used for concrete or asphalt installation, and Spikes should only be used on asphalt surfaces.
